OOC: nasty
Gem sighed, thinking about these things. It was not easy for her to look at him at the moment. "But the Riders told Dinma you were not to be touched for what happened that day. You may have been a little foolish by doing what you did, but my parents are both please with you and Javrena. I remember my mother telling Dinma that if he laid a hand on you, or had anyone else do that, then they would be in trouble." She was confused by all of this. Why did it have to be her freinds?

The brown-haired boy shrugged. "Maybe it's not that I have to kill the people, but it's a ploy to cut me--"
He looked at her, dread dawning on his face, and horror soon following. "Off from everyone else..." he looked over to where Javrena was hidden, where Glen was walking. "Who are you supposed to kill, Gem?" he asked her quietly, nodding to Javrena and Glen. "Because we may not be the only ones with orders."

"You, Javrena, Glenawing, Rasei," I replied, with a sigh. "All my freinds, if I want to save the man i actually love. They took Drannor from me, and that has made me furious with them. However this is the first time I have actually been threatened in such a way."
I sighed. Things were not good. "How they can thing to hold a pure elf against his will, as a bargaining chip with me, I do not know, but I have the feeling that Drannor will be giving those fools hell for this."

"I have you, Jav', and Rasei as targets. Javrean quite obviously has Glen though. Wonder who else she wound up with." he shuddered a bit then, thinking of something unpleasant. "I hope to the mighty lord of pie-filling that I'm not on Glen's list though. Or Rasei's. Glen just doesn't like me I think. I don't even know why."
He looked down the alley, then motioned to her. "C'mon. Let's get to the Trickster's Hideout. My friends should be there, if anywhere. They'll help." he grabbed her hand and pulled her farther into the alley, tapping on certain bricks along the way.
Faintly, ahead and behind came the sounds of almost silent footsteps. Echoes came from all sides of the bricks being tapped. Or perhaps it was other people signalling their friends. It was hard to tell, even for Jeb.
Still, he knew they'd be there.

I followed after him, though I knew there was nothing i could do at the moment other than do what i had been. I wondered though at how he kept his freinds hidden like this.
"How far in is it?" I asked. I would have to leave at sunset unfortunately, to go and try to reason with the one behind all of this. It would not be an easy task, and I knew that i was likely just going to get myself hurt, but it all mattered not. I would do anything for Drannor. I would not be the one to lose him.

He shook his head at her question, then pull her into a shaded corner, away from prying eyes. "It's the black market. The way we hide is simple. Only insiders know the codes. No one else." he sighed, rubbing one of his eyes wearily. "It took me about three years to gain their trust, and only last year did they tell me how to find them. I'm not exactly at the top of the ladder, but people do listen to me. So please, don't ask them too many questions, until I tell you it's okay."
Then he walked on, carefully listening to the tapping of bricks, which was reaching a crescendo.
Finally, he came to a sheltered space, where many people, some raggedly dressed with scraps from others, probably from off the streets, to people of obviously high stature, with fine cloaks on, and looks of interest.
All turned to Jeb and Gem.
The brown-haired boy gave her a lopsided grin, and then walked into the center of the area.
"Listen closely. All of you. You know people have been disappearing. We all know it. It's our job to know. Well, part-time anyways." he said, laughing a bit, and joined in by others.
"Well, now people from my family are gone. And Javrena's younger brother, Neradon. My friend Gem's lover has been taken, and we've been told to murder each other!" his voice was practically a shout, but he had everyone's attention now.
"I ask you then, in my name, and in Javrena's name -- I know you respect her -- that you help me and my friends find our lost loved ones. Use your knowledge, pull the strings, send the message, but do not say who sent it. Please, everyone. There has been no honor among the thieves of my family."
He waited then, calmly. Waiting for what they would say.

I knew as I stood there, that it would be obvious I was not one of the lower townfolk really. Instead, my clothes and maybe the way I was standing there marked me as one of the nobles. Though not one of Dinma's roudy group at least.
They probably knew me from the chaos in Dinma's hall not long ago when one of the riders, no less than the Head Rider herself had claimed me as her daughter. Some would hold that against me. Not that I cared.
I smiled though a tiny bit, knowing that some of them would not be pleased to see me, they likely knew that i was sometimes an assassin, for something similar to this. Not fair really and I knew that.

Jebidiah The teen boy shrugged, then laughed a bit. "Pretty much all of the city guards, and Dinma, for crashing the party when the riders came, helping you escape, and generally causing him no end of trouble. Plus, of course, Javrena when she's angry at me. But I think she'd just do it herself with an explosive pastry of some delicious form" The brown-haired boy ruffled his hair a bit nervously, then continued, in a more serious tone. "Look Gem, about half my family's gone missing. I got a... Ransom note, I suppose you could call it a day or two ago. I'm supposed to kill some people or they'll get hurt." "Can you help me? Javrena has her own problems. Neradon's disappeared as well." ~*~*~*~*~* Javrena The blond-haired girl watched with baited breath as Glen stalked towards where she was hiding, though he probably didn't know she was there. Just as he walked underneath the outermost branch of the tree, she released the bit of string she was holding, and the contents of the cup dumped on him. It looked like she had poisoned him. It was a sleeping drug, and a strong one. She crossed her fingers, and waited, hoping it would work. Then she dropped out of the tree. If it worked, it would look as if she had just killed him. IF it worked. Glenawing Glenawing wiped the liquid off im angerly feeling slightly dizzy, he scwoled and looked up and saw Javerna, "Do you really need to pull a prank close to everyday? I mean really." he shoke his head angerly and continued to walk back to his tavern. He was wondering on how everyone was actiing so ackward and well wierd then normal, it seemed that every one wanted to kill each other or they were at each others neck.
