Heat blasted against my face as I moved through the streets of Adurna. Everywhere around me I could see families having fun and doing the things they wanted to do at the moment. They were all getting ready to celebrate when the Dragon Riders came once more to the town. Eggs would be brought and hopefully riders would be found for the eggs.
There would be no chance of that for me. Lord Dinma would make sure that none of the slaves he had that were of the age to touch the eggs were well hidden away for the duration of the Rider's stay. He knew that if one of us caused an egg to hatch then we would instantly be free. Such a thing was against his will, he wanted to keep us all for himself, seeing as he was a very greedy man.
In a way I knew he was a Prince, King Lindan Marcos the Hated being his brother. That made things all the harder for us. Who were we to know what was the will of the king? All we really knew was that he hated elf kind with a passion. There was nowhere here to hide if he came. No one wanted him to attack them because they hid an elf from him, even one who was half human.
I knew that and if he did come, I would have to get out of here. There was no doubt in my mind that I was one of those forbidden ones. The human's brother would love to know that if he ever saw my features start to develop into those of an elf's. I knew they would eventually and that was what worried me. My mother was half elf, as was my father. They were also both Dragon Riders.
A thing that no one but I myself knew about. I was too afraid to allow that knowledge to become widespread among everyone. I cared too much about the few freinds I had here. Glenawing, Javrena, and the other pure humans who were free to do as they wished in the town. None of them were slaves. He would not dare enslave someone who was free born. And yet I had been enslaved, a free born girl.
Not to mention I was a girl of noble birth. My parents ruled over one of the towns whenever there was no business of the Dragon Rider type to be dealt with by them. It was not something that happened very often that there were children who would dissapear as I had done.
They would be so very worried about me and there was nothing I could do to tell them where I was at the moment. They would never know what caused the things to happen that had. Not until they came here again or something happened and I escaped from the horrible Lord Dinma Marcos. He hated elves and half elves, of one I was.
That made things more harder for me than some people would imagine. I missed my family too much.

A huge golden dragon stood talking to her rider while I moved towards them. I knew that they were discussing something to do with the Riders, and that was something that seriously alarmed me.
Bizandra was a strong dragon, the strongest of all the dragons alive to this day. After all, she and her rider who was my mother was the leader of the Dragon Riders.
"We need the Sun Dragon to hatch," I heard my mother say.

I wondered what it was that they were discussing in that vision. From what I could hear of my mothers voice in the vision, it was not good what ever it was.
And the Sun Dragon had not hatched which would be a bother and a half for them. If they needed a certain dragon to hatch, then surely they would be searching for the rider very soon. It would only be a matter of time before the riders found me here where I was, in a place that did not really care about its people. These humans cared for none but themselves.
